about me
Elizabeth
Hi, I'm
I’m a BACP-registered counsellor offering compassionate, integrative, trauma-informed therapy that supports my clients to make meaningful change.

I’ve long been interested in the importance of emotional health and wellbeing. Both my own history of trauma and the pressures of my former professional career give me deep insight into the many challenges people face, and the emotional and psychological toll they can take. Therapy was transformative for me, and ultimately led me to my role as a counsellor.

Knowing the importance and value of therapy and access to mental health support, I volunteer as a Samaritan and with a community counselling service alongside my private practice. I hope this helps ensure that people who might not otherwise be able to access support have somewhere to turn. I also believe that these roles provide me with a broader understanding of life’s challenges.
I draw on my personal history, professional background, volunteering experience, and training to deepen my empathy and enrich the therapy I offer clients.

I bring my genuine self — attuned to your needs — to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel supported in exploring your story and developing greater clarity, resilience, and wellbeing.

my training
I trained at the highly regarded Metanoia Institute in London.
My core training encompassed three complementary approaches:
Person-Centred Therapy – a relational, non-directive approach that values autonomy, trust, and emotional awareness.

Gestalt Therapy – a holistic present-focused method that deepens insight into thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

Transactional Analysis – a practical framework for understanding how we relate to ourselves and others, helping to develop more fulfilling connections.
Together, these form the foundation of my integrative style — allowing me to tailor counselling to each client’s unique story and needs, while also drawing on trauma-informed therapy.
I continue to engage in professional development to ensure my work remains ethical, reflective, and effective.
