mentorship for trainee therapists
'Learning is often painful, and the road to wisdom is paved with difficulties, but through these challenges comes growth'
- John Dewey
support for your training journey
Training to become a counsellor is a profoundly personal and transformative experience — rewarding, yet often challenging and intense. I remember it well: navigating qualification pathways, juggling coursework and placements, managing self-doubt, and engaging in the introspective, reflective work that becoming a therapist requires.
My mentorship will support you throughout this journey. Offering a non-judgmental, confidential and contemplative space, we will nurture your self-compassion, empowerment, resilience, and wellbeing — so you can grow personally and professionally as a developing practitioner.

what i can help you with
Navigating your qualification pathway with greater clarity
Developing study skills and staying organised
Strengthening reflective and academic writing
Exploring and refining ideas for assignments
Reflecting on insights from personal development groups and skills practice
Finding and securing placements
why work with me
Alongside my counselling practice, I have an interest in mentoring and professional development. I draw on my clinical training, previous experience in corporate leadership, and my work mentoring and training Samaritans volunteers.
I offer a calm, encouraging presence and an understanding of the emotional and academic demands of counsellor training — to help you feel supported throughout your journey.
Please note: Mentorship is not a substitute for supervision or personal therapy — both are essential and should be accessed separately.
You remain responsible for your own academic work. I do not write or edit assignments on your behalf.
